Michael Pope to Lead EGSA for 2012 Calendar Year

BOCA RATON, FL — Boca Raton, FL -The Electrical Generating Systems Association is pleased to announce that Mr. Michael Pope of Dartmouth, MA has been elected as the 2012 President of the Association. As an active member for more than 20 years, Pope enjoys a distinguished record with the Association that includes participation as an instructor at the EGSA On-Site Power Generation Schools for Basic Engine Technology and Engine Exhaust Emissions, as a contributing author in the Association’s magazine, Powerline, and with the EGSA On-Site Power Generation Reference Book. Pope has also presented multiple papers on the reduction of engine exhaust emissions.

Michael Pope is the Senior Sales Engineer and Marketing Manager for Süd-Chemie Inc. a German headquartered company with a catalyst manufacturing facility in Needham, MA. He has previously held positions with Volvo Penta, R.A. Mitchell (New Bedford) and Lister-Petter.

While working in the South Coast region, he has also served his local community on the Executive Board of the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Exchange Club.

He lives in South Dartmouth with his wife Pauline.
