Class 1 Generator Field Technician

H.O. Penn Machinery is hiring a Caterpillar Generator Road Mechanic to service the state of Connecticut.

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Electric Power Generation, including troubleshooting and repair of Electrical Equipment (generator, ATS, Switchgear), AC and DC, and diesel engines
  • Must be computer proficient to run diagnostic software, prepare service comms
  • Must have strong communication skills, high self-management
  • Must be open to working overtime, including evenings, holidays, weekends
  • Valid and clean driver’s license required
  • Advanced Electrical troubleshooting skills, breaker testing, paralleling generators, medium/high voltage, transformers, thermal scan (IR Scan) preferred
  • OSHA-30 Card (preferred)
