This six-hour non-technical course introduces the principles, terminology, equipment, and applications that form the foundation of modern onsite power generation.

Participants will explore how generator sets produce reliable electrical power, how they fit into complete emergency power systems, and the factors that influence equipment selection, sizing, reliability, maintenance, and long-term performance. Along the way, learners will gain a practical understanding of the engineering concepts, codes, and construction documentation that support successful onsite power projects.

Designed for individuals with minimal experience in onsite power generation, this course emphasizes practical understanding rather than detailed engineering calculations, making it an ideal starting point for anyone entering the onsite power generation industry. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an EGSA Certificate of Completion recognizing their achievement.
