Membership Benefits
Besides the benefit of being part of a powerful international association, EGSA membership offers members many products and services to help your business grow.
Publications that Keep You in Contact
EGSA issues several important publications that give you the information you need for improved success in the on-site power industry. When the need arises, EGSA staff also send out special Advisories and Action Alerts to give Members information of immediate relevancy.
Bringing the On-Site Power Industry Together
The most important benefit of Membership in EGSA is the opportunity to make contacts with others in the on-site power business. Members have ample opportunity to meet in a relaxed atmosphere with Manufacturers, Distributor/Dealers, Reps, and others to develop the business contacts so important to every individual business at our annual conferences.
Improving the Industry through Education
An underlying philosophy of EGSA is that the on-site power industry can be improved through education, and the Association has taken the lead in providing quality educational opportunities. EGSA Members are the experts in the industry, so it is no surprise that the Association authored and published the "bible" of the industry, On-Site Power Generation: A Reference Book, as well as several glossaries and performance standards. We hold several schools each year to help educate your employees on various aspects of power generation. We developed and implemented the world's first Generator Technician Certification program, as well as a Load Bank School and Certification program.
Make an Impact on the Industry
The Association actively strives to improve the on-site power generation industry, and through its committees, you too can make an impact. Whether writing standards, gathering statistics, furthering international trade, planning educational efforts, or acting as a government liaison, your participation can make a difference in the future of the on-site power industry.
Most of EGSA's memberships are corporate - once the company is a member all of its employees can receive member benefits, including:
