Education Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator is a key position in a small and growing trade association.  This position plays a key part in delivering high-quality learning experiences for our members across in-person and virtual formats.

As part of a high-performing team, the Education Program Coordinator will use independent judgment to manage assigned education programs, instructor relationships, and logistics for both established and emerging programs. The Coordinator also performs professional and administrative duties that support the day-to-day operations of multiple functions, programs, and the Education department as a whole. This member-facing role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with industry professionals at all levels. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of EGSA education programs, including conferences, training schools, webinars, workshops, and other professional development initiatives.
  • Manage speaker, instructor, and volunteer engagement from recruitment through event delivery, including scheduling, communications, travel logistics, onboarding, expense processing, and on-site or virtual support.
  • Provide comprehensive program and administrative support by coordinating calendars, meetings, agendas, presentations, reports, correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects by maintaining timelines, tracking deliverables, identifying priorities, and proactively resolving issues to ensure successful program execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, committees, and external partners to coordinate marketing, registration, member communications, and overall program delivery.
  • Monitor program performance, participant feedback, enrollment metrics, and operational processes to recommend and implement continuous improvements.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Adobe, Asana, and related technology platforms to develop materials, manage information, and support efficient department operations.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for members, instructors, speakers, volunteers, and industry partners while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of EGSA's Education Department and strategic initiatives.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of experience in program coordination, education, training, events, association management, or a related field.
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with staff, volunteers, instructors, committees, and external partners.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and the ability to quickly learn additional technology platforms such as Asana and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate the highest ethical standards, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with graphic design, social media, publications, learning management systems, or association management software is a plus.
  • Experience working in a trade association, nonprofit, membership organization, or education environment is preferred.
