Master Generator Technician

At Anderson Power Services, we are building a generator dream team. Our company is growing rapidly, and we're looking for dedicated individuals to grow with us. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Generator Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and performing advanced inspections, maintenance, and repairs on generators used in various settings. The ideal candidate should have extensive mechanical experience, advanced technical skills, and a thorough understanding of generators. We expect the Master Technician to take an active role in the training and development of less experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform routine and advanced inspections on generators to ensure they are in proper working condition
  • Diagnose and repair complex generator problems, malfunctions, and failures to determine the necessary repairs and solutions
  • Perform advanced repairs and maintenance tasks, such as overhauling engines, replacing electrical components, and repairing control systems
  • Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning parts using advanced testing equipment and specialized tools
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed on the generators
  • Provide technical support and expert advice to clients regarding the operation and maintenance of generators
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in generator maintenance and repair techniques
  • Stay up to date with new developments in generator technology and attend advanced training sessions as required
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and plans for generators
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times while performing job duties

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Generac certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing generators
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Advanced technical skills in diagnosing and repairing generators
  • Familiarity with advanced testing equipment and specialized tools
  • Ability to read and interpret advanced technical manuals and schematics
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call schedules as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Salary: From $30.00 per hour
