Education Committee
The Education Committee exists to create member value by providing educational resources to our members and the industry. This is accomplished by working collaboratively with the Committee Officers, Committee members, Subject Matter Experts, other EGSA Committees/EGSA members, and the EGSA Board of Directors.
The Committee’s current and ongoing initiatives include:
- Technician Certification (both Apprenticeship and Journeyman) and EGSA Prep (an online resource that allows technicians to prepare for the certification exam at their own pace)
- Load Bank School & Certification
- On-Site Power Generation schools (both in person and online) and the EGSA On-Site Power Generation Reference
- Engineering Symposiums
- Additional online learning including new education and training initiatives that could benefit the industry
- Makes formal recommendations to the Board of Directors for review, action, and implementation.
